Quality, Delivery, Price!

Custom Welded Body Cylinders

“For our custom welded body cylinders, we developed the criteria of: quality, delivery, and price. All Phase Hydraulics satisfied all three points – emphatically.”

1. QUALITY – Precise machining tolerances, durable, proven construction, exacting adherence to design dimensions, stainless piston rods for our marine application. Quality control is a must, and we’ve yet to have a hitch!

2. DELIVERY – We needed to shorten delivery times, to help us rotate our stock without drowning in cylinders.  Now, we have lead times we can count on.

3. PRICING – Now we have an affordable cylinder that’s a bargain. Since we stock them, and price them to move, we need a manufacturer who would do reasonable quantities and still reward us for a steady volume.

“Also, All Phase has demonstrated another added value – outstanding customer service! All Phase is responsive, consistent, exacting, timely, and reliable.”custom welded body cylinders

Eric, Carrie, Nancy, Brandon, Judy, Tom, Drew, and Brenda being trained for the new software system.

Here we are in July with half of 2016 already behind us. As was mentioned in our January newsletter, our plan this year was to take a break from building projects and focus on a complete revamp of our point of sale software. We are happy to report that we are well on our way to making this a reality by year’s end. Different companies have been researched and we have decided to move forward with IFS Software. The soft-ware is very adaptable to the ever changing and different types of repairs that we do. This new system will be sufficient to carry our workload easily into the next decade. We have begun training and hope to go live with at least some of the divisions by late this fall. This is a huge undertaking, but we want to move at a pace that will not interfere with our everyday business and with the least disruption to our customers.
Thank you and have a great summer,

January 2016 Newsletter

Welcome to our January 2016 Newsletter

Welcome to 2016, the year we celebrate our 27th year in business. As we enter the New Year, we take pause once again to acknowledge the faithfulness of our God in preserving us as a business. We recognize that we are only instruments in His hand and that Speed Wrench is only a small part of His Greater Purpose. Knowing what that purpose is, we must daily seek the will of the Almighty to give us direction. We pray for the wisdom to follow where He leads.

We are now settled in after our building expansion last year and have been focused on fine tuning business. We are constantly asking you, our customers, “Where can we improve?” Your feedback is greatly appreciated and is used to bring forward the best products and services possible. Thank you for your continued patronage.

Our project this year is a total upgrade to our point of sale software. In the past four months we have been researching software for the entire company. We have outgrown our old system both in size and diversity and need to upgrade to stay up with ever changing technologies and business opportunities. We are finishing up the vetting process and hope to begin changing things over starting this month. To keep from disrupting daily business, we have decided to phase this program in over the next 6-8 months. We will bring you an update in our July Newsletter.

Thank you & have a blessed New Year,

~ The Management

July 2015 Newsletter

Welcome To Our July 2015 Newsletter

2015 is half way over and it seems like we just got started. There is always a lot of excitement happening at Speed Wrench and the first half of this year was no exception. The one good thing is that we have our building projects behind us (for now) and we are concentrating on the business of doing business. Some areas that we have been focusing our attention this year:

Geographical:
1. Detroit – Probably the best and fastest growing business climate we have experienced in a long time. Brings back memories of Grand Rapids area in the 90’s, when housing was growing at breakneck speed. Currently, we have 4 resident technicians and a full-time salesman from our Speed-Tech division working that area.

2. Kalamazoo/Battle Creek – We currently have a resident technician from our truck divisions in this area full-time to service our customer base there, and are looking for additional help within 6 months.

3. Traverse City – Two resident technicians with assistance from GR-based technicians, also in the

Speed-Tech division. Business opportunities:
1. Our crane repair business has been growing steadily since we split that off into a separate division

2 years ago, and currently we have 4 service technicians focused in this area. We have had preliminary discussions of additional building space to accommodate this area of growth and have purchased property next to the Speed Wrench campus in anticipation of future growth needs.

2. We have experienced continued growth in our Body Shop division. Currently we have 5 technicians working this area and are hoping to add 1 additional employee this summer.

3. We have applied and been granted our dealers license to buy and sell used trucks. We hope to use the license primarily to assist our customers with their specific truck purchase needs.

As you can see, we at Speedwrench have been busy looking for and improving on areas in which we can enhance our customers service experience in a positive way, and help them in any way we can to reach their business demands and goals.newsletter-july-2015-online-copy

All Phase has continued to experience growth in both of our divisions. In order to keep up with the growth there have been a few changes. We have added two new pieces of equipment, a third pick up and delivery vehicle, as well as some new faces:

Josh Miner – Josh wears many hats helping in most areas of the operation including machining, welding, assembly, painting and packaging

Rich Ponstein – Rich joined our team this past winter. He is driving our third pick up and delivery truck.

Janelle Walma – Janelle joined our team this past May as our new Administrative Assistant.

Adrian Marcano-Kruz – Adrian came to us with hydraulic cylinder manufacturing experience and fills many roles including assembly, painting and packaging. Adrian is also instrumental in helping keep our inventory organized.

Bryan Martinez – Bryan came to us with hydraulic cylinder manufacturing experience and is a full time machine operator for us.

fabrication speeds on
many parts!

January 2015 Newsletter

Welcome to Our January 2015 Newsletter

“In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
As we move into the year 2015, we stop and look back on 25 years of God’s faithfulness in preserving us as a company. Many things could be said about how we got to this point, but none of that matters unless the Lord is with us. As we look forward to the new year, we ask Him to continue to lead and guide us in this Kingdom work that He has entrusted to us.

Lots of new things happening again this year! Here are some of the highlights:
1. All Phase Hydraulics finished their move into the new 20,000 square foot addition and are settling in nicely.
2. The Body shop division continues to expand their areas of expertise and broaden their horizons on work that they can perform.
3. Speed-Tech Equipment has been searching for a new technician to add to the Detroit branch as we continue to build a customer base in that area.

Again, we encourage you, our customers, to give us feedback on the work we are performing for you and what you would like to see from us. To those of you who have already made suggestions or commented on our work, thank you!
~ The Management

2014 has been an exciting year for All Phase! Some of the highlights were:
1) Settling into our new building.
2) Putting our new pump test stand in operation.
3) Ordered another lathe, which we are hoping to see come February 2015!
4) Added multiple new team members!

Kristal Boorsma – Administrative assistant
Austin VanDyke – Cylinder technician
Travis Healey – Cylinder technician
Brent Visser – Cylinder technician
Tim Key – Pump/motor technician
Aron Wheel – Parts manager
5) Built additional space to keep up with the growth of the manufacturing division.
With these changes in place, we are excited to see what 2015 has to bring and look forward to better
servicing our customers!

For the past year, All Phase’s manufacturing division and the repair division have been sharing the space in the facility that opened last fall. Earlier this year it became apparent that both divisions needed more space to allow for growth, so plans were put into action to double our existing square footage in order to facilitate these needs.

Upgrading Machinery

This past November, the cylinder manufacturing division inhabited the newly completed addition of our building and are now in a great position to increase our efficiency and take on more business

Welcome to Our July 2014 Newsletter

We hear a lot about “bundling” these days. Bundle your TV, internet and phone. Well, we at the Speed Wrench Group have been “bundling” long before the term was popular. You ask, what do you mean? We have been bundling your different repair needs for years and we keep expanding on it!

1. Need your truck repaired? How about your wheelchair lift or boom crane mounted on the truck? Need alignment or body work? We can do that for you! We have technicians that specialize in all these different areas.

2. How about your compactor and baler needs? Need a new overhead door or loading dock repaired or replaced at the same time? We can do that! How about a short or long term service contract? Done!

3. Hydraulic cylinder leaking? No problem! We can repair it or make you a new one. Need your hydraulic pump or motor rebuilt? You guessed it. We can do that too!

So you see, bundling is not a new concept at all for Speed Wrench, we just call it, “doing business!”

Nine months ago, All Phase began a new division focused on manufacturing welded hydraulic cylinders. Each month sales have increased gradually and the orders continue to come in. It appears we entered the marketplace at an excellent time. Later this year, in order to aid the efficiency of both All Phase divisions, the manufacturing group will move into new space to the west of the current All Phase building.

Steve Gaffin, who has done territory sales for All Phase for about a year and a half, has been charged with developing the new division’s customer base, overseeing product design and material acquisition.

We are excited about the progress we’ve made and look forward to, Lord willing, a continuous growth in our division!

5 new employees joined the manufacturing group, all with experience in this specific industry!

Shop Updates

Our Production Manager, Tony Feliciano, oversees the manufacturing process at all stages and has insured that quality products are being shipped every time. Tony is hands-on all day too, doing machining, testing, assembling, painting and packaging.

Rob Uecker, our machinist, programs and runs two lathes and one machining center. Rob’s attention to detail is invaluable.

Assisting Rob is Brian Feliciano, Tony’s son, who keeps parts moving in and out of the machines.

Dan Preist, a certified welder, does all of our welding. Dan’s welds not only consistently pass our hydraulic test requirements; they are cosmetically exceptional as well. Dan also helps where needed in the assembly and packaging process.

Rick Feliciano, Tony’s brother, does all of the cutting of tube, rod and parts material. He also helps where needed in the assembly and packaging process.
